Tea & Talk at Stevenage Library, August 2026
We attended a Tea & Talk session at Stevenage Library to introduce attendees to Citizens Advice Stevenage and the support and services we provide.
We also shared information about our Digital Exclusion Survey, with 12 attendees taking part, leading to some great questions and conversations.
It was a valuable opportunity to connect with the community and raise awareness of the support available.

Herts Mind Network Group, July 2026
We attended the Herts Mind Network weekly group session at the Stevenage Wellbeing Centre.
We shared information about Citizens Advice Stevenage, including the advice and support we provide and how people can access our services.
It was a valuable opportunity to meet with the group, hear their experiences and strengthen connections with local community organisations.
Carers Information Event, July 2026
We attended the Carers Information Event at The Gordon Craig Theatre, hosted by Carers in Hertfordshire.
The event brought together more than 20 organisations to provide information, advice and support for carers, highlighting the wide range of help available within our local community.
It was a valuable opportunity to connect with carers, share information about our services and work alongside organisations committed to supporting carers and those they care for.



OPALs Community Event, April 2026
We attended the OPALs event in Stevenage, celebrating community, connection and support for older people.
The event brought together local organisations to provide advice, information and guidance on health, wellbeing and staying safe, alongside activities and opportunities to socialise.
It was a fantastic day of community spirit, with plenty of positive conversations and a great atmosphere throughout.



Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service, April 2026
We visited the Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service training centre for an insightful and hands-on experience.
We learned more about the wide range of roles within the service, watched new recruits in training and had the opportunity to take part in some of the drills.
A valuable experience that highlighted the skill, teamwork and dedication behind this essential service.



Health Action Day, April 2026
We attended Health Action Day at Stevenage Arts & Leisure Centre, hosted by Everyone Active.
The event brought together local organisations, health services and community activities, giving people the opportunity to learn more about their health, get active and connect with others.
It was a fantastic day of community engagement, with a wide range of activities, information and support available.



Stevenage Health Talks PPG, March 2026
We had the opportunity to speak at the Stevenage Health Talks PPG, connecting with local residents alongside doctors and paramedics.
We shared information about Citizens Advice Stevenage, the support we provide and how people can access our services.
The event also featured valuable talks from Alzheimer’s Society and Carers in Hertfordshire, covering dementia awareness, healthy living and support for carers.



Dementia Friends Stevenage, March 2026
We attended the Dementia Friends Stevenage event at Stevenage Football Club.
The event provided valuable insight into how we can make Citizens Advice Stevenage a more dementia-friendly organisation, with inspiring talks and real-life experiences from people living with dementia and those who support them.
A valuable day of learning and reflection, helping us work towards making Stevenage a more inclusive and supportive community.





Mayor Visit, December 2025
We were pleased to welcome the Mayor of Stevenage, Nazmin Chowdhury, to our office.
The visit was an opportunity to share more about the vital work we do, the services we provide and how we support local residents through challenging times.
We were grateful for the Mayor’s interest and encouragement, and for the opportunity to discuss our continued commitment to supporting the Stevenage community.
Community Walk for Domestic Abuse Awareness SADA, November 2025
We took part in a community walk to raise awareness of domestic abuse and highlight the support available to those affected.
The walk formed part of the 16 Days of Action Against Domestic Abuse and brought together local organisations and community partners in support of survivors.




BBC 3 Counties Scam Awareness, November 2025
We joined BBC Three Counties Radio in Dunstable for an event focused on scam awareness and prevention.
We were pleased to work alongside partners including Trading Standards Hertfordshire, Santander and the National Campaign Against Fraud to share advice on staying safe from fraud and supporting those affected by scams.
We also took part in a BBC Morning Live discussion about scam prevention and the importance of public awareness.





Citizens Advice Common Ground Annual Conference, November 2025
We attended the Citizens Advice Common Ground Annual Conference in Birmingham.
The two-day event brought together colleagues from across the Citizens Advice network to share ideas, learn from each other and celebrate the work being done to support communities.
It was an inspiring opportunity to connect, collaborate and strengthen our shared commitment to making a difference.
Irish In Britain, November 2025
We attended the Irish Network Stevenage & Irish in Britain Community Health Event at The Oval in Stevenage.
It was a valuable day filled with talks, advice and support from local organisations, focusing on health, wellbeing and staying connected within the community.
We were especially touched by the heartfelt testimonials from attendees, highlighting the positive impact that community support can have on people’s lives.




Your Skills Your Future, October 2025
We joined the University of Hertfordshire team in Stevenage to share our advice and explore how collaboration can help people develop skills, change careers and access new opportunities.
We also enjoyed meeting T Level science students from North Hertfordshire College and getting hands-on with some chemistry experiments, as well as meeting one of the University’s amazing robots!





Shout About It, October 2025
We were pleased to attend the Shout About It event hosted by POhWER.
It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with local organisations and community groups, all coming together to share their expertise and help support people across the community.
We were also delighted to meet the Mayor of Stevenage, Nazmin Chowdhury, and enjoyed making new connections with so many organisations working to make a positive difference locally.

International Day of Older People, October 2025
We attended a special event hosted by Stevenage Borough Council to mark International Day of Older People.
It was a fantastic opportunity to meet and speak with so many local people, while sharing information about the wide range of services and support we offer to the community.

We joined North Hertfordshire college for a fundraising day with their business students. Each group planned events in the hope to raise money for our organisation.
